DREW PRICE, senior PASTOR

Drew was born and raised in Sacramento, California and grew up playing all kinds of sports.  He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with undergraduate degrees in Marketing & History (and baseball), received his MBA from the University of San Francisco, and completed his ministry education at Western Theological Seminary.  Drew spent 20+ years as a corporate executive.  God then yanked him out of business and into ministry and he's never looked back.  He comes to NBC after planting and pastoring two large and vibrant churches in Granite Bay, CA and Bend, OR.  He and his wife, Kathy, have been married over 40 years and have three wonderful daughters (Amanda, Jenny & Emily), two fantastic son-in-laws (Pierre & Kyle), and three all-star grandkids (Joel, Valerie & Mia).

Besides his leadership role at NBC, Drew founded BLAST (Building Leaders And Strengthening Teams), which guides pastors and church leaders around the world toward healthier and more effective ministries.  Drew loves family outings, traveling, hiking, biking, tennis and golf.

JESSICA DIPUMA, worship arts pastor

Jessica is a sunshine seeker, hot tea drinker, music maker and Bridgewater, VA native. She loved growing up in the valley and received her undergraduate degree in interpersonal communication from James Madison University.  She attended Eastern Mennonite seminary, served in Nashville as an inner-city missionary, led worship in a church in New Jersey, and worked and performed as a singer/songwriter.  Having returned home to the valley, she found New Beginnings Church and her husband Charlie (also an accomplished musician).  When she is not leading the Worship Arts ministry at NBC, you can find her writing and recording music, enjoying time with her husband and family, laughing with good friends, and dreaming up places to travel.

jason bourne, discipleship pastor

We don't know much about Jason's background, but we do know that he's passionate about helping people find their born identity in Christ.  Sure, he's a little intense, but his skills are needed to cut through the noise and discover the truth.

tiffany knupp, middle school leader & staff glue stick

Since 2015 Tiffany and her husband Carroll have headed up a team of volunteers that build into the lives of middle school students (God bless them!).  Tiffany also manages the church’s administrative tasks.  In addition to being a wife, she is the mother of two wonderful children, Abby and Tim.  Prior to coming on staff at NBC, Tiffany worked in civil engineering, bookkeeping, and database management.  But it was the year she spent in overseas missions that changed her life.  God called her to youth ministry!  Who knew it would take over 20 years for that calling to be realized!

Tiffany says, “My passion is to see young people fall in love with God and His Word.” She credits the pattern set by her own parents for her love of the Bible.  “Mom taught kindergarten in a Christian school and would get up at four in the morning to have her devotions.  Dad was a career US Navy Chief who also served as a pastor, elder, and Bible teacher.”  Tiffany loves to travel, camp, hike (slower than a snail in molasses), and play guitar and golf.  But most of all, she loves to capture the beauty and wonder of God’s creation through her photography.  And you can see her photo’s all over this website!

jennifer fernandez, g & o railroad engineer (1st - 5th grade)

Jenny was born in Walnut Creek, California and was raised in Northern California and Oregon.  She first made her way out to the east coast in college at the University of Maine.  She transferred to Liberty University when it was clear that she had a passion for children's ministry.  While she received her degree in Business Project Management, the "projects" she loved the most were creating fun and engaging environments for kids to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.  She has served as Children's Director at Compass Church in Oregon and as Event Planner for a national Christian Conference organization.  A few years ago Jenny accepted a dream job at Disney World to gain further experience creating "wow factors" for kids.  She is now excited to put that experience to work at NBC.  Jenny recently married the love of her life, Pierre, and they love to travel and find new and exciting places and things to do!

cynthia shank, g & o railroad engineer (early childhood)

Cynthia gave her heart to Jesus her freshman year of college.  She loves serving Him wherever, whenever and whatever way He leads.  She is SOLD OUT for Jesus!  She is excited to be working with her littles—watching their eyes and seeing their smiles as they learn to put their faith and trust in Jesus.  There are lots of hugs involved too!

Cynthia married her husband, David, at the tender age of 20.  For the last 48 years, they have raised four amazing sons (although there were times that she felt like she was raising 5 boys, not 4), welcomed three great daughters-in-law, and spoiled all their grandchildren.  Cynthia loves to read, make stained glass, travel, knit, and be with family and friends.  She loves to entertain and enjoys sharing her home with others.

Ephesians 6:10-18 is how Cynthia likes to dress daily—putting on the full armor of God so she can stand firm and fearless for her Savior.

LAURA CARR, WOMEN'S PASTORAL CARE

Laura was raised in a loving Christian home in Western New York and was introduced to Jesus at a very young age.  Her parents hosted a Bible Club in their basement.  As a teenager, Laura was surrounded by fantastic Christian youth leaders and friends who helped keep her on the straight & narrow… during good and shaky times.  She met her beloved husband, Bob, when she was 19 years old and they married 2 years later.  A family soon followed… with three wonderful kids (Brian, Amanda and Sam).   Laura was very active in the children’s ministry of her church when her kids were young, and was mentored by some marvelous, mature Christian women.  She decided then that she wanted mentor young moms in the future.  Bob & Laura have lived in the Shenandoah Valley for 32 years and love it!  Her kids have all chosen amazing spouses and have blessed them with nine adorable grandchildren!  Laura treasures the time she spends with her family & her New Beginnings Church family!  You may see her around with her "amazing grays" --- Godly women who build into each others lives and the lives of the young women at NBC.
