DREW PRICE, senior PASTOR

Drew was born and raised in Sacramento, California and grew up playing all kinds of sports.  He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with undergraduate degrees in Marketing & History (and baseball), received his MBA from the University of San Francisco, and completed his ministry education at Western Theological Seminary.  Drew spent 20+ years as a corporate executive.  God then yanked him out of business and into ministry and he's never looked back.  He comes to NBC after pastoring two vibrant churches in Granite Bay, CA and Bend, OR.  He and his wife, Kathy, have been married over 40 years and have three wonderful daughters (Amanda, Jenny & Emily), two fantastic son-in-laws (Pierre & Kyle), and three all-star grandkids (Joel, Valerie & Mia).

Besides his leadership role at NBC, Drew founded BLAST (Building Leaders And Strengthening Teams), which guides pastors and church leaders around the world toward healthier and more effective ministries.  Drew loves family outings, traveling, hiking, biking, tennis and golf.

jason bourne, discipleship pastor

We don't know much about Jason's background, but we do know that he's passionate about helping people find their born identity in Christ.  Sure, he's a little intense, but his skills are needed to cut through the noise and discover the truth.

nick stewart, youth director

Nick was born and raised in Harrisonburg, and met his beautiful wife, Ikea, in high school.  They have three wonderful kids all under the age of 14: Cordell, Noah and Kinsley.  After high school, Nick worked in the construction industry and led a fitness-based ministry reaching out to college age students.  He came to New Beginnings a few years ago and realized right away the special place it is.  He loves the family atmosphere and the deep-rooted Biblical teaching.   God has clearly given Nick a passion and a giftedness for working with youth and kids.  His playful, joyful heart and his eagerness to have honest discussions about the things that really matter in life connect well with the next generation.

His mission is to ignite a fire for God in high school students, and help them understand what it means to pursue Jesus for themselves and not just because their parents do.  He wants to help kids who are struggling with different obstacles and family situations.  His fun-factor is off the charts, and his expectations of the students is just as high.  He sees a youth group with dedicated student leaders, where every student feels loved and valued, and everyone participates in the discussions and the learning and the fun.

jennifer fernandez, g & o railroad engineer (1st - 5th grade)

Jenny was born in Walnut Creek, California and was raised in Northern California and Oregon.  She first made her way out to the east coast in college at the University of Maine.  She transferred to Liberty University when it was clear that she had a passion for children's ministry.  While she received her degree in Business Project Management, the "projects" she loved the most were creating fun and engaging environments for kids to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.  She has served as Children's Director at Compass Church in Oregon and as Event Planner for a national Christian Conference organization.  A few years ago Jenny accepted a dream job at Disney World to gain further experience creating "wow factors" for kids.  She is now excited to put that experience to work at NBC.  Jenny recently married the love of her life, Pierre, and they love to travel and find new and exciting places and things to do!

STEPHANIE REEVES, G & O RAILROAD CONDUCTOR

Stephanie is a valley girl—a Shenandoah Valley girl that is!  She grew up and has lived her whole life in the Churchville area.  She was raised on a family farm where hard work, family fun and church activities kept her busy from a young age.  She met her husband, Brad, in high school.  They married soon after and have raised an active son and daughter, Cole & Brinley, who both love farm life.  Stephanie is a full-time kindergarten teacher at a local public school where she shows students the love of Jesus in many different ways.  When she isn’t teaching or co-leading a wonderful children’s ministry at NBC, she loves to cook, bake, read, kayak, and spend lots of time with friends and family.

cynthia shank, g & o railroad engineer (early childhood)

Cynthia gave her heart to Jesus her freshman year of college.  She loves serving Him wherever, whenever and whatever way He leads.  She is SOLD OUT for Jesus!  She is excited to be working with her littles—watching their eyes and seeing their smiles as they learn to put their faith and trust in Jesus.  There are lots of hugs involved too!

Cynthia married her husband, David, at the tender age of 20.  For the last 48 years, they have raised four amazing sons (although there were times that she felt like she was raising 5 boys, not 4), welcomed three great daughters-in-law, and spoiled all their grandchildren.  Cynthia loves to read, make stained glass, travel, knit, and be with family and friends.  She loves to entertain and enjoys sharing her home with others.

Ephesians 6:10-18 is how Cynthia likes to dress daily—putting on the full armor of God so she can stand firm and fearless for her Savior.
