Dr. Scott Schneiderman,  

Lead Pastor

Pastor Scott was born in Georgia and, after school, joined the Marines—traveling all over the world and retired after 23 years. In 2018, Scott was called into full-time ministry after leaving his career as an active-duty Marine. After being a pastor in Woodbridge and Stafford, VA, he came to New Beginnings in 2021. He loves seeing people grow in their relationship with God and each other. He loves staying fit, creating art, playing sports, and spending time with his family. Scott and his wife, Laura, have two children: Bella & Zion. Scott has a bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies from American Military University, a Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics, a Master of Divinity (MDiv), and a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) from Liberty.  He founded REQUIP Ministries to share discipleship material for the larger body of Christ.

Quint Lindblad, 

Executive Pastor

Pastor Quint began his ministry journey in 2014, helping as the worship leader at a small church plant in Jamestown, NY. Over the next several years, God led his family on a journey that involved walking away from the business world to pursue ministry full-time. After 3.5 years in Jamestown, he spent the next 8 years at a church in Erie, PA in various roles including Worship Pastor, Discipleship Pastor and Executive Pastor. He is passionate about helping people see the bigger picture of what God is doing in their everyday lives. Quint and his wife, Erin have 5 adventure-loving kids and they are beyond excited to embrace this new season of ministry and life in the Shenandoah Valley!

Jessica Crawford, 

Creative Arts Director

Jessica loved growing up in her hometown of Bridgewater. She watched her mother direct a local church choir every Sunday unaware that God would one day call her to music ministry too. After graduating from Turner Ashby High School, she received an undergraduate degree in interpersonal communication from James Madison University. After serving in two youth ministry positions, she felt the Lord call her to vocational ministry, more specifically, music ministry.  She attended Eastern Mennonite seminary for a year followed by several years serving and learning at a creative arts ministry base in Nashville. For more than a decade, she has been on a God adventure that has included leading worship leading positions in multiple states and performing as a singer/songwriter. Jessica is delighted to be back home at New Beginnings for her second stint of service in a church family she loves dearly!

Dr. Adam Knicely, 

Operations Director

Adam was born and raised in Rockingham County.  After graduating from Turner Ashby High School, his God-given baseball ability led him to VCU on a scholarship.  After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education, he began a 30-year career in public school education. His pursuit of being a positive role model for students allowed him to move from teacher to Athletic Director, to Assistant Principal.  During his teaching and administrative career, he earned a master’s degree from JMU and a doctorate from Northcentral University.  After retiring, Adam has been working for a local business and managing several aspects of the day-to-day operations.  In Adam’s spare time, you can catch him announcing various athletic events at James Madison University and Turner Ashby High School.  Adam and his wife Lori are excited to be serving alongside the people at New Beginnings Church.  They wholeheartedly believe Jeremiah 29:11: “'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future'” and Psalm 32:8: ”I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

Laura Carr,

Women's Pastoral Care

Laura was raised in a loving Christian home in Western New York and was introduced to Jesus at a very young age.  Her parents hosted a Bible Club in their basement.  As a teenager, Laura was surrounded by fantastic Christian youth leaders and friends who helped keep her on the straight & narrow… during good and shaky times.  She met her beloved husband, Bob, when she was 19 years old and they married 2 years later.  A family soon followed… with three wonderful kids (Brian, Amanda and Sam).   Laura was very active in the children’s ministry of her church when her kids were young, and was mentored by some marvelous, mature Christian women.  She decided then that she wanted mentor young moms in the future.  Bob & Laura have lived in the Shenandoah Valley for 32 years and love it!  Her kids have all chosen amazing spouses and have blessed them with nine adorable grandchildren!  Laura treasures the time she spends with her family & her New Beginnings Church family!  You may see her around with her "amazing grays" --- Godly women who build into each others lives and the lives of the young women at NBC.

Ashley Carr, 

Ladies Ministry

Ashley Carr lives with her husband Brian in Hinton. They have been members of the New Beginnings Church for the past 20 years and have 4 children. She is a member of the NBC worship team and has enjoyed serving in many other places through the years. She was a Bible teach for 5 years for Bible Study Fellowship and has her Masters in Biblical Expository from Liberty University. She is passionate about the word of God and loves to spread her enthusiasm about the word though interactive Bible study.

Dylan Dilly, 

Children's Pastor

If you are looking for someone with energy and enthusiasm, Dylan is your guy!  He grew up in Elkins, WV, then went to a two-year ministry school in Tulsa, Oklahoma called Victory College.  Dylan radiates passion for the next generation.  His desire is to create vibrant and fun experiences where kids can learn more about God and come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.  His past experiences include stints in the public school system and serving as Children's Pastor for a large West Virginia church.  In his spare time, he likes to hang out with friends, play card/board games, and enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities.  Dylan loves the heartbeat of New Beginnings and couldn't be more excited about joining our team!

Nick Stewart, 

Youth Pastor

Nick was born and raised in Harrisonburg, and met his beautiful wife, Ikea, in high school.  They have three wonderful kids all under the age of 14: Cordell, Noah and Kinsley.  After high school, Nick worked in the construction industry and led a fitness-based ministry reaching out to college age students.  He came to New Beginnings a few years ago and realized right away the special place it is.  He loves the family atmosphere and the deep-rooted Biblical teaching.   God has clearly given Nick a passion and a giftedness for working with youth and kids.  His playful, joyful heart and his eagerness to have honest discussions about the things that really matter in life connect well with the next generation.

Stephanie Reeves, 

Early Childhood Director

Stephanie is a valley girl—a Shenandoah Valley girl that is!  She grew up and has lived her whole life in the Churchville area.  She was raised on a family farm where hard work, family fun and church activities kept her busy from a young age.  She met her husband, Brad, in high school.  They married soon after and have raised an active son and daughter, Cole & Brinley, who both love farm life.  Stephanie is a full-time kindergarten teacher at a local public school where she shows students the love of Jesus in many different ways.  When she isn’t teaching or co-leading a wonderful children’s ministry at NBC, she loves to cook, bake, read, kayak, and spend lots of time with friends and family.

Cheryl Landis, 

Financial Director

Cheryl is native to the Shenandoah Valley having grown up in Staunton and then moving to Harrisonburg to attend JMU.  After graduating with a BBA in 1993 she stayed in the area.  She and a girlfriend spent years faithfully praying for their future husbands and then Cheryl met Matt at church and they got married in 2005 (a real God story).  They have two sports-loving children, Kaitlyn who is 15 and Josh who is 13.  Cheryl loves to help people and mostly does that through administrative giftings the Lord has given her.  Cheryl enjoys listening to the roll of the ocean’s waves with the sun warming the sand, the cool brisk air on a walk in the fall, watching the snow fall with the blinds wide open and the fire warming the house, cheering on her kids as they play basketball and baseball, sitting in her recliner with a good book, and listening for that still small voice of the Lord.
